Music documentary

This film documents a concert tour round Lago di Garda in Italy where my Italian Songbook (Il canzoniere italiano), a collection of twenty-four songs set to poems by poet-philosopher Kristján Hreinsson in an Italian translation by Olga Clausen, Iceland´s General Consul in Milan, was performed in May 2022: in Bardolino 25 May, Desenzano 27 May, and Riva del Garda 28 May. Berta Dröfn Ómarsdóttir soprano and Sigurður Helgi piano performed the cycle at Hannesarholt in Reykjavík in two rounds in mid-May before embarking on the tour round Lago di Garda. The film has been aired several times on Axess TV in Sweden since its premiere in 2024 and won first prize in the documentary category at the film festival Premio Felix 2024 7˚ edizione in Milan 2024.
